In 2017, the Scottish Government convened a Task Force for the Improvement of Services for Victims of Rape and Sexual Assault. Standards were developed in 2017 to ensure consistency in approach to healthcare and forensic medical services for anyone who has experienced rape, sexual assault or child sexual abuse.
