Remit of the MCN Steering Group
The Steering Group is responsible for overseeing the development, work plan and co-ordination of the MCN. The group sets the strategic direction of the MCN referring to the national policy and evidence based best practice guidelines.

The group meets quarterly.

The group is Chaired by Dr Edward Doyle, Associate Medical Director, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh
Representation on the group comprises of Chair, MCN Clinical Lead, MCN Manager, Clinical Leads from each Health Board, Nursing, Regional Planning Manager, Forensic Medical Services, Police Scotland, Crown Office, Social Work and Children 1st.
